  School Philosophy

St. Peter the Apostle School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary Schools. The school has demonstrated to evaluators of the Commission on Elementary Schools that it is effectively advancing the quality of educational experiences it offers its students and meets its responsibilities to the public and the profession of education.

  Mission Statement
St. Peter the Apostle School exists to educate the student so that the talents developed and values nurtured will contribute not only to the child's personal growth and development, but also to the building of a strong and just society - a city of God. We affirm that the parents are the primary educators and that teachers are partners in the total educational process.
The curriculum offered is an integration of intellectual, cultural, religious and physical activities planned with sensitivity to the background and needs of the students. There is balance between the priorities of the group. Coordination and cooperation with federal and state area specialists such as the Chapter 1 teachers and Act 89 READS personnel assigned to our school, is an integral facet of our total program.
We believe that increased emphasis on a world-wide vision and social responsibility should characterize the school's curriculum.
United by our membership at St. Peter the Apostle School, we envision ourselves as a community of lay and religious who desire a strong relationship with God by living gospel values. We envision ourselves as teachers committed to the ethics of our profession and as leaders in bringing about the maximum potential in each student.
We look to the Holy Spirit, our source of Wisdom to lead us in sharing our gifts and talents for the benefit of the entire school community. Our diversity of coltures, languages and spiritual traditions serve to enrich us. By embodying these qualities we seek to bond the school, the parish, and the home into one Christian and educational community.
